Walter: They call it the Strawberry Supreme.
Peter: His favorite ice cream store shut down. He made me wait in line with him for four hours with just so he can have one last milkshake.
Walter: The secret ingredient… it’s mundane but it’s – oh, it’s sublime. I’m trying to stimulate my olfactory and gustatory senses to try to recreate it.
Fringe, August
I need you to go to the grocery store. We need a gallon of strawberry ice cream, some sweet whey, and some yeast, and some sugar. I spent six years perfecting my recipe. You must try it!
Walter Bishop, Fringe, Firefly
I was first interested in watching Fringe when I heard John Noble was starring in it as Walter Bishop. For any Lord of the Rings fans, John Noble played the troubled character of Denethor. Although he was hated by so many, you can’t deny how great of an actor John Noble is. Sadly, Fringe has ended for a while now, but there were a few memorable food items in the show and this Strawberry Supreme is one of them.
Fringe: Walter Bischop's Strawberry Supreme Milkshake
Ingredients:
- 4 scoops of good quality strawberry ice cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 tbsp Bob’s Red Mill sweet whey
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh strawberries
- 1/4 cup heavy cream, chilled
Directions:
- Set the heavy cream aside and blend the rest of the ingredients together in a blender until smooth. Pour into a chilled glass and lightly whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Top with the whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

I couldn’t stop snacking on the strawberries as I was making this recipe. There is nothing better than a perfectly ripe strawberry. Thank you!
