Phantom Thread: Asparagus with Butter and Salt

Ingredients
- 10 sprigs young asparagus trimmed of extra fat
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- salt as needed
Instructions
- Bring a pot of water to a boil over medium high heat. Once it comes to a boil, salt the water with a generous pitch of salt. Carefully add the asparagus and cook for 2-3 minutes, just until tender but still has a slight crunch.
- Immediately place the cooked asparagus into an ice bath to stop the cooking. Before serving, sauté the asparagus over medium high heat with a pad of butter.
- To serve, place the asparagus and served melted butter on the side. Season generously with salt.
