Ingredients
- 110 g unsalted butter room temperture
- 100 g brown sugar
- 100 g granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 250 g all purpose flour sifted
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 160 g chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F. In a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, mix the butter until soft. Add the sugars and mix until just until incorporated. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix.
- Add the sifted flour, baking soda, and salt in two additions while scrapping the bowl in between. Add the chocolate chips with the last addition of flour and mix just until incorporated.
- Scoop the cookies into 12 equal size balls. Place it onto a parchment lined sheet pan. If the dough seems too soft, place it into the refrigerator for 15 minutes before baking. Bake for 12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown and the tops are dry. Let cool for 5 minutes on the sheet pan before transferring to a cooling rack.
